This page explains how to request deletion of your ETICO account (operated by Moneta Capital Investment Limited) and the personal data associated with it, on both the ETICO web and mobile apps.
1.How to request deletion
You can ask us to delete your account in either of these ways:
- In the app. Open ETICO → Account → Delete account, then confirm. This submits your deletion request directly.
- By email. Send a request from your registered email address to support@etico.ng with the subject “Delete my account”. We use your registered email to confirm the request is really from you.
Before an account can be deleted, you must first close any open positions and withdraw your remaining wallet balance to your registered settlement bank account. We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted.
2.What gets deleted
When your request is processed, we delete or anonymise the personal data tied to your account, including:
- Your profile and contact details (name, email, phone, address);
- Identity/KYC details and your Bank Verification Number (BVN);
- Your settlement bank account and virtual account details;
- Your watchlist, preferences, and app settings; and
- Your login credentials.
3.What we have to keep, and for how long
As a regulated financial service, we are legally required to retain certain records even after your account is closed. These are kept only for as long as the law requires and are then deleted or anonymised.

Retained records are held securely, access-restricted, and used only to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, not for any other purpose.
4.How long deletion takes
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. Data we are not legally required to keep is removed within that window; records covered above are deleted at the end of their retention period.
